On September 26-28, 2019, the 3-days KSSCR International Symposium 2019 was successfully ended in Grand Hilton Seoul, South Korea.
2019 ISSCR/KSSCR International Symposium is a joint meeting of the Korean Society for Stem Cell Research (KSSCR) and the International Society for Stem Cell Research (ISSCR), the largest and the most authoritative stem cell society in the world. More than 800 participants from Korea and abroad participated in this international symposium, and many wonderful moments are worth aftertaste.
Wuhan Healthgen Biotechnology Corp. (Healthgen Biotech) had a stand in the Symposium, showed the Recombinant Human Serum Albumin(OsrHSA) and Recombinant Human basic Fibroblast Growth Factor(OsrhbFGF), etc, which have been well-received by visitors.

The OsrHSA has very good batch consistency, which works as a kind of additive ingredient used in stem cell culture and can keep stem cell undifferentiation and viability. OsrHSA is determined to be equivalent to pHSA in terms of biochemical properties, physical structure, functions, biologic safety and immunogenicity.
The immunofluorescent staining of induced pluripotent stem cells(iPSCs) showed OsrHSA was effective in keeping undifferentiation and keeping viability of iPS cells.
OsrhbFGF, the Recombinant Human basic Fibroblast Growth Factor(OsrhbFGF) expressed in rice endosperm, which is animal component free, has very good batch consistency. The OsrhbFGF purity is higher than 95% and bioactivity is more than 1x10^6 IU/mg.
It has been demonstrated that OsrhbFGF has almost equal performance for feeder-free culture of iPS cells compared to control rbFGF(E.coli).
In the Mesenchymal Stem Cells(MSCs) culture, it showed that the proliferation rate and viability of MSC in the medium which was added in OsrhbFGF was similar to the medium (containing rbFGF derived from E. coli). The cell proliferation date showed that OsrhbFGF stimulating cell profiferation activity is equivalent to rbFGF(E.coli) for MSCs culture.
